A genuine generation X variable. Dmodul aka Audiogenius, knows his quantum knobs and buttons on a first name basis. An SAE graduate from the London brunch, who engineered the dawn of the Quantum sound. He learned to work in New York City at the beginning of the century and he is jaunting in between studios, while pro and con music makers come and go, ever since. These days he is at large. Dmodul produced most of the album “Ruler”.
Quantum Cowboys
Active
The Q.C-s aligned positions in 2006. The founding members are on duty in the art-core since the early 90-es, who for various reasons couldn’t live up to their reputation then and are completing their missions in the 21st century. The collective is currently residing in Central Europe, in the area known by many as the former Monarchy and something else. An excellent place to think it over. Obviously the quantum fields are calling the shots. Late 2005, two singer/songwriter girls, Jakaba the Punk, BradyO the Pop (the two hearts beating in the body of the band) and DModul, an SAE graduate sound engineer from the London school with a weak spot for Depeche Mode, experimented with translating Guitar Ballads to Electronic Pop. A known underground, New Wave oriented bass player started to hang out at the Budapest flat and coincidentally put his bass line of spoiled Country Rock romance, straight to track. A Death Metal guitarist / Dj. moved in, transformed the flat into a studio and gave the last boost to the birth of the Quantum Cowboys name and music. In 2007, we released an EP titled 3. This got us into a recording frenzy which lasted three years. The experience accumulated in the album Ruler and resulted in loosing all three key instrumental players to the stress. We’ve pulled through and brave new cowboys have joined up to save the band and the works from extinction. The interim periods were not always without complications. We are required to define and redefine ourselves and more importantly our music by it. Strangely, this has helped us to solidify our constant, which is based on improvisation. Arkay came in to play bass and took over the mission to complete Ruler in 2008. In 2009, with the arrival of Dj Kraak, dance technology was integrated into the raw electro punk-pop structures. Great artists helped finish the album and played with us when we were short an instrument and some stay on to indulge. It is an honor and also a commitment. T has been introduced as the meanest guitar player we ever had and we write even cooler songs now. It is a powerful team. Recently a Rock drummer joined our ranks and brought on a harsh period of musical soul searching: What is the Quantum Cowboys sound exactly? Everyone had a different opinion, with two main schizophrenic camps, Rock versus Electronic. At the same time we've received some Artisjus funding for our second Pop album. Stress revisited the band, with a difference. We are doing radio interviews, getting exposure and professional acknowledgment. Against all odds we are on the right track. People seem to like us. Smoothly Rock reinserted itself into our lives. We agreed not to discuss problematic issues, in fact we agreed to be playful, until someone can tell us what exactly our sound is, and what set of rules go by it. For now Quantum Cowboys is a flux of probability waves, an imperfect yet moving system of harmonies. Traditionally we spend restless urban nights piecing ourselves together.

(Extract from the mythical and mostly missing Q.C. Diary)
Going through the eye of standing waves, ruptured canyons, leveled mountains, the Quantum Cowboys face frank looking devils. A strange look in their eyes, just before collapsing, they challenge the hostile reasoning with instruments of subsonic emapthy. Later, sounds of water rushing, wiping soles by the creek, they come clean of theories. Most devils are now in one great heap, but more are swearing from across the hills, armed to the teeth with premeditated romance still. Come gone the twilight, the cowboys set camp at the quantum fires. Nodding around, warmed by heat and healthy defiance, they sit down and listen. The lights emitted by the fires, begin to lick the darker, yet gentler B side of the soul, turning the day into a song.
